Code & Research Committee
The Code and Research Committee is the derivative of the SMA’s primary purpose to develop safe codes and standards for stairways with regard for the aesthetic properties and design characteristics that make the staircase a visual and fundamental architectural element.

Education Committee
The purpose of the Education Committee is to develop the stair industry by providing educational opportunities that promote the construction of safe, beautiful, code compliant stairways to SMA members, their customers, architects, designers, and building officials.

Nominations Committee
The Nominating Committee, in many ways is the lifeblood SMA. It promotes member involvement at the committee level, seeks out, and solicits qualified candidates for the SMA Board of Directors.
