The SMA will hold its 24th Annual Conference and Meeting in Reno, Nevada. Continuing our geographic rotation, the event marks our first return to the west since San Diego in 2007. The Reno/Tahoe area will provide the destination event and affordability you have asked for. The world class Atlantis Casino Resort and Spa has offered us remarkable room rates, with your cost netting less than last year in Charlotte. You will be able to book deluxe rooms Tuesday – Thursday and Sunday as low $69+tax/night sgl/dbl. On Friday and Saturday our rate is the same as last year’s conference just $119+tax or you can book luxury rooms for $89/$129+tax. Want to bask in comfort; we have negotiated discounts on Concierge rooms as well. Vacation and Recreation
You can extend your stay at the SMA discount rates up to 3 days before and after the event. Reno/Tahoe has everything you need for that long needed break you’ve promised yourself. Nestled in the desert, just east of the mountains, you’ll have access to two worlds of recreation. In April you can enjoy prime Golfing, Hiking, Biking, etc and with favorable snows some Spring skiing in the Sierra Nevada. Restaurants, pubs and shopping surround the downtown and river park areas with unique experiences waiting, not to mention the convenience of gaming and entertainment at famous Nevada casinos. Want a “wild” experience take the SMA tour to the Wild-West town of Virginia City, a silver mining town that has preserved the saloons and board walks that gunslingers and cowboys inhabited in a bygone era.
